Transforming the lives of girls around the world through the power of education.
World change starts with educated girls.
Commit 2 Change (C2C) helps vulnerable girls in India and South Asia who are orphaned (often due to societal and cultural discriminations) and left to become victims of sex trafficking, indentured servitude, early marriage, and more. C2C believes teaching critical education and life skills will not only help them gain self-confidence but also empower them to break this vicious cycle.
Why girls' education?
Right now, more than 130 million girls are out of school: the tragic results of poverty, gender discrimination, early marriage, and even war. Education can help girls lift themselves, and their families, out of poverty, but it doesn’t end there.
When girls are educated, everyone wins, even entire nations. If educated, girls could contribute up to $30 trillion into the global economy. And if we don’t invest in girls’ futures now, the human costs — to every last one of us — could be even more staggering.
We’ve helped more than 8,500 at-risk girls fight insurmountable odds and reach the education every child deserves.
